Spitzberg Advisors offers Soundboarding: an opportunity for board members, executive directors, and senior staff to set aside time for problem-solving in a safe, collaborative 1:1 environment with an advisor who is both a coach and a peer. Ed Spitzberg has crafted an approach to leadership advisory services that marries his experience as an Executive Director and board member with his creativity as a consultant, helping his peers crack open difficult challenges. With an individual structure that combines targeted session plans, generative brainstorming and expert nonprofit advice, Soundboarding offers a format and results not often seen in a traditional coaching setting or peer group meeting.
two 45-minute Soundboarding sessions, 1:1 with Ed Spitzberg, and
two custom emails, tailored by Ed to prompt client reflection and action, prior to and/or in follow up to your Soundboarding sessions
Clients can elect to opt into a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month commitment term.
As the current term comes to an end, clients can opt out or choose a new duration, based on their needs.
Ed Spitzberg is a nonprofit executive and strategic advisor with over two decades' experience in nonprofit leadership. He founded Spitzberg Advisors (SA), a strategic advisory firm serving nonprofit organizations and their leaders, bringing expertise including board development, transition planning and interim leadership, fundraising, and strategy.
Ed served as Executive Director of nonprofit organizations including the multidisciplinary, award-winning arts education program, Sitar Arts Center. Ed was also a senior development executive for Arena Stage and the Afterschool Alliance. Ed is on the steering committee of the Interim Executive Network and the advisory board of the Innovation Collaborative.
As a leader, Ed has developed concrete strategies for organizations that have resulted in increased capacity and awareness, and working closely with boards. As a fundraiser, Ed has successfully cultivated and solicited individual and institutional six-figure gifts. As a nonprofit expert, Ed has led retreats, workshops and panels for a variety of organizations, including one of the world’s largest funders. He has published a research abstract article on advocacy for the Creative Youth Development National Partnership.
Ed has an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, where he serves on the Alumni Network Board of Directors; and a BA in Ethics, Politics and Economics from Yale University.
